About UK Lotto
What is a rollover?
If no-one has chosen the six main numbers drawn, no-one wins the jackpot prize and it is 'rolled over' to the next draw, so if no-one wins a Saturday draw, the jackpot rolls over to the following Wednesday. If no-one wins a Wednesday draw, the jackpot rolls over to the following Saturday. This can happen a maximum of 3 times.

What do I win?
Unlike some other lotteries, winnings are not spread out over a number of years. You win a single lump sum tax-free payment.

How many tickets are bought?
Typically, 28 million, rising to 38 million for rollovers.

What are the odds of winning?
Jackpot - match 6 main nos.: 1 in 13,983,816
Match 5 main nos. + bonus no.: 1 in 2,330,636
Match 5: 1 in 55,492
Match 4: 1 in 1,033
Match 3: 1 in 57

What if there are too many £10 winners?
Official literature says that "Match 3 prizes will always be £10 except in the extremely unlikely event that the prize fund (45% of the draw sales) is insufficient to give all winners £10 each. If it is, then the whole of the prize fund is shared equally by all the prize winners."

What are the prizes worth?
Prize values vary depending upon the number of people playing (and winning) in each draw. In addition, 'superdraws' and 'rollovers' increase the size of the jackpot. The following are rough guides:
Jackpot - 6 Numbers, 52% of the Pools Fund, typical shared prize: Wed £4 million, Sat £7 million
5 Numbers + Bonus Number, 16% of the Pools Fund, typical prize: £100,000
5 Numbers, 10% of the Pools Fund, typical prize: £1,500
4 Numbers, 22% of the Pools Fund, typical prize: £62
3 Numbers, constant prize: £10

Who runs the National Lottery?
Unlike other European national lotteries, it is run by a private company rather than the state. Camelot Group PLC hold the present license, awarded by OFLOT in 1994.

When was the UK's first National Lottery draw?
As long ago as 1569, but early lotteries were a far cry from the high-tech lottery we have today. The lottery died out, but returned between 1750-1826 as an annual event. The National Lottery as we know it today was launched on Monday 14th November 1994, with the first draw on Saturday 19th November.

Where does the ticket money go?
For every £1 spent on the UK National Lottery:
45p is returned in prizes for that draw.
28p goes to good causes, split five ways between arts, sports, charity, heritage and millennium boards.
12p goes to the UK government in Lottery Tax.
5p is kept by Camelot Group plc for running costs and profit.
5p is earnt by the retailer.
5p is reserved for future Super Draws and Instant Win scratchcard games.

Camelot expect to give £9 billion to the National Lottery Distribution Fund, £4 billion to the Government in lottery duty and over £15 billion in prizes over the first 7-year license.

When are the draws?
Every Saturday and Wednesday evening, usually between 8 and 9pm.

Have I received a scam email?

The LUKI lottery website is safe and secure and used by many International Players however, you need to be on your guard against Internet fraudsters. We never ask for any up-front fees or requests personal details by email. If you receive an email which sounds too good to be true, it probably is!

Fraudulent (Scam) Emails – what to do first

Lottery scam emails are increasing at an alarming rate.

Scam emails try to persuade the receiver to submit personal information or to part with money as an up front payment in order to release a winning lottery prize.

If you have not purchased a ticket for the UK National Lottery or EuroMillions, you will not have won a prize, and you should treat the email with absolute caution.

 Signs of a fraudulent email:

·               There may be a sense of urgency, eg ‘respond within X days or your Account will be closed’ or to ‘keep your winning notification confidential’ until ‘your claim has been processed’.

·               There may be embedded links (links within the body of the email) that look legitimate because they contain all or part of a real company’s name. These links may take you to spoof sites which ask you to update personal information, or may download key—logging software onto your PC

Spoof websites can be difficult to spot. To make sure you are on our site, type http://www.lukilottery.com/into your browser and see if you arrive at the same place

·               If the email says ‘Winning Notification’, ‘Lottery Sweep Stake’, ‘Congratulations Ref No.XXX’, or mentions ‘British National Lottery’  in the text, the email you have received is not from LUKI.CO.LTD;

·               We don’t ask for any Player information like name, address or bank details on an email.

·               It is unlikely that an e-mail from an unspecified source such as a hotmail or yahoo address would be offering the type of service you would expect from a legitimate registered company dealing with millions of pounds or dollars.

In our communications we will only use the following addresses:

·               mailto:admin@lukilottery.com

·               mailto:sales@lukilottery.com

·               mailto:info@lukilottery.com

There is no need to contact us if you have received a lottery related scam (fraudulent) email.
